10 day Zambian Safari Taster
DAY 1-4: LUSAKA TO SOUTH LUANGWA
You will arrive in Zambia’s capital and head for the country’s prime wildlife viewing park, South Luangwa. This area sits between the Luangwa River and the Mchinga Escapment. The beautiful valley is known for its unusual density of Leopards and wilddogs. Both very illusive, your chances of seeing one here is high! Spend your days on day and night game drives, relaxing in your lodge or even experience safari on foot in Africa’s prime walking safari destination.
DAY 5-7: LOWER ZAMBEZI
The Zambezi River is the 4th largest in Africa and Safari life here will focus on the river where much of the park’s wildlife tends to gravitate. There are very few camps in the park which means few cars and no crowding. Your time here will undoubtably involve the river whether this be by a canoe or boat Safari, fishing, or getting to your camp via boat. You can expect spectacular scenery, huge herds of elephants and buffalo as well as big cat sightings.
DAY: 8-9 LIVINGSTONE
It wouldn't be a Zambian Safari without visiting the incredible Victoria Falls. As one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, its a must! Staying in a beautiful botique lodge upstream of the falls, spend your days exploring the falls from all angles. For those active adventure seekers maybe even a microlight flight over the falls. Or a bungee jump, or white water rafting.. Or all of the above!
DAY 10: LUSAKA
Time to head back to Lusaka for your departure, or even spend another night exploring the vibrant capital city and relax post Safari. There is no doubt that Zambia will leave you exhilarated and in awe of your incredible safari experience that was the epitome of rugged and raw Africa.
